The Thomas Hart Benton murals hang in the House Lounge in the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.  The House Lounge is on the third floor in the west wing of the capitol building.  While the Lounge is open to the public, the room may be used at any point for meetings by the Speaker of the House;  in addition, during school groups visit regularly from March through mid-May.  Thus, if you are traveling to Jefferson City especially to see the Benton murals, it’s best to call ahead.
